We recorded this song back in 2011 with the band from The Burn The Truth The Lies but decided not to include it on that album. This version is more meandering and haunting and I think it's better suited to the lyrics. Sometimes we're jerks without meaning to be. Has someone ever worked really hard on something for you and presented it to you, hoping for your gratitude and adoration, and you found yourself picking it apart, finding all of its faults? We all have a dark, critical side that sometimes blocks out the light.
