This is a cover of a song by The National.
I listened to this song obsessively while I was on tour on the east coast during Nov/Dec 2016. I had heard it before; I have loved the album that this song comes from (Trouble Will Find Me) for a few years now. But for some reason I came across this song while driving the back roads of Tennessee and North Carolina and just kept listening to it on repeat. That middle section:

I was solid gold
I was in the fight
I was coming back
From what seemed like a ruin

Daaaammmmnnn that's good.
Haven't we all been there? You think you finally have your sh*t together and then something kicks your legs out from underneath you?
