I wrote this song on piano, super sad, super slow, and then I tried it angry and strummy on guitar, and then I tried it with The Sentimentals and we found a good place for it. Some of these lyrics date back to... 1998, I think? I keep everything. You never know when a scrap might come in handy. Some words lie dormant for two decades before you finally dust them off and put them to music.
